Billy Gibbons Releases “Rollin’ And Tumblin'”!

Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) has released a new single from his 2018 solo album “The Big Bad Blues”. You can get a copy here. If your are not familiar with the tune, the press release fr the track states the following about it’s origin;

“t’s a lively cover of the classic blues anthem made popular by Muddy Waters in 1950, but actually dating back more than 90 years to Hambone Willie Newbern’s original.”

All that aside, it’s a rocking tune. You get Matt Sorum (Guns & Roses, Velvet Revolver) on drums and guitarist Austin Hanks. The late Joe Hardy played bass on the album version. I’m not sure what i enjoy the most the guitar work or Gibbons growling vocals. The combination really does show’s his love of the Blues.

The video shows only the trio performing the song live as well as give you an open road drive to go with the track. It also fades in and out of black and white to color. It’s always a good thing when you can see live footage, this is no exception. Check it out below.
