Corey Taylor Releases A Cover Of “On The Dark Side”!
Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) has a new EP coming out March 25th titled “CMFB…Sides”. You can pre-order it here. Taylor has released a cover of the John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band’s song On The Dark Side. The song was part of the 1983 Eddie & The Cruisers movie. Taylor has updated and made it sound new and fresh. He gave it a new life.
One thing he does do in this that I think is unique and cool at the same time is blends in John Mellencamp’s R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A., The Romantics’s What I Like About You, and finally he throws in Neil Diamond’s Cherry, Cherry. The reason I believe he did this is because all these songs have the same chord progression. I have to say I really enjoyed this version of the track.
