David Bowie Releases “Fashion” Live From 1997!

David Bowie is releasing a live package titled “Look At The Moon (Live From Phoenix Festival 97)”. It will be released February 12th. You can pre-order it here. Ahead of it’s release is his performance of his 1980 classic Fashion from “Scary Monsters (And Super Creeps). This live version of the song actually seems a bit heavier and more rock like than the studio version to me.

The original had more of a dance vibe to it. Now, that makes it a much cooler song for me. Don’t get me wrong that funky bass line definitely stands out. Overall I like the mix and the performance of this song. The video is odd in that it shows a picture of Bowie with an audience moving underneath it. It really doesn’t do anything for the song.
