Chubby Checker is campaigning to be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. He should be in there, he was part of the early rock movement back in the day. Everyone knows the song The Twist. Just another reason why the Hall is a joke.
Check out Slash’s new track: World On Fire. The album comes out September 16. The album goes by the same name. You can listen to it here: http://slashonline.com/. While you are there check Ask Slash 4 on the site.
Last week’s Rockucation question was: Everybody knows that Ringo Starr was the drummer of The Beatles and he replaced Pete Best. But who replaced him for The Beatles Australian tour, when Ringo was sick with Tonsillitis? He was a Beatle for 13 days. Who was he? No one got this one. The answer was Jimmy Nichol.

Just a little rant here. I was ok hearing Beatles songs in commercials, tolerated Ozzy’s, even Ted Nugent’s, but I think it’s crossing the line to have Led Zep do a Christian Dior ad for Macy’s. That’s crossing the line. I can’t believe that the band allowed it. Now it’s tarnished forever. Ok, I’m done.
