Greta Van Fleet Release New Single “Heat Above” Proving Once Again Rock Isn’t Dead

Greta Van Fleet has a new album coming out on April 16th titled “The Battle At Garden’s Gate”. You can pre-order it here. The band has released their third single from the record, this one being Heat Above. I have to say this one makes me feel good inside. I really like this one, probably my favorite of the three so far. Danny Wagner’s drums are outstanding and musically the strength of the song. Josh Kiszka’s vocals are amazing on this. He does everything from vocal theatrics to delivering a heartfelt lyric. I always admired their writing, when you read the opening two lines as an example;

“Sorrows of the Earth May our tears of rain wash down to bathe you”

Where do you get that kind of poetry, that depth especially from such a young group of musicians? It’s just like that through out the track. You have to appreciate it is all I’m saying. I think you will also like the 1970’s rock vibe that this song gives. The band hit this one out of the park as far as I’m concerned. There is no video but a stream of the song over the album cover.
