LEOGUN Releases Video For Piggy In The Middle!

There isn’t a lot going on this week in the rock world but you will still be ahead of the curve of most people by checking this page out every week or my Facebook, Google+ and Twitter pages.

For my international friends, here is the lineup for this year’s Defenders Of The Faith IV Tour and dates.  Lineup is as follows: Hell, Bleed From Within, Carcass and Amon Amarth.  Dates and tickets here:

Manowar are in the studio recording a new album. You remember them, right? Death to false metal and all of that?  Well, it’s not really new, they are remaking the albu,m Kings Of Metal (2014). This will be the record’s 25th anniversary and they will be doing lots of special things for it. So be on the look out!

According to Rob Zombie, there will never be a White Zombie reunion because if he did it, it would only be for the money?

Speaking of remembering, hopefully you never forget about Saigon Kick. But, Jason Bieler (guitar and vocals) has released an album (not in stores but in Sound Cloud, under the name Owl Stretching and the album Keep Calm And Carry On). You can listen to it here:

Motorhead is still dealing with Lemmy’s health issues.  They cut their set short at the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. After about 30 minutes, Lemmy couldn’t handle the heat and couldn’t finish the set. He is doing much better but is still battling issues with his health.

Keep an eye out for Dee Snider’s Christmas show to be in an Off Broadway venue. Once I hear dates etc., I will let you all know but since it’s a slow week of news, I thought I would throw that out there.

Drummer Joey Jordison of Slipknot has announced a solo project/band called Scar The Martyr. You can hear their new song Blood Host here: He also said that Slipknot will come back strong in 2014, don’t worry they are not splitting up!

Just an interesting side note, Neal Schon wants to start talking with Steve Perry again. Reunion maybe?

UFO announced a brief North American tour, you can get dates here:

Last week’s Rockucation question was: What do the following albums have in common: The Doobie Brothers, Toulouse Street; Montrose, Montrose; Van Morrisson, It’s Too Late To Stop Now; Van Halen, Van Halen; and Aerosmith, Done With Mirrors.  The answer came from Kamran Khan of Seekonk, MA. These albums were all produced by Ted Templeman.

Richie Sambora released a new track from his solo album, Aftermath Of The Lowdown. There is some controversy since he has been out of the band and that the lyrics here are taking a shot at the beloved Bon Jovi. The song is Come Back As Me. The lyrics that people are referring to are: “What do you want me to say, I gave you everything I could give. But everything just wasn’t enough, so I just let live and live.” The video is here, what do you think?

Last week I mentioned that David Draiman of  Disturbed took Roger Waters to task about the pigs he used during his live tour of the wall on the song In The Flesh, where there was Star Of David on them. Roger Waters responded that he is not an open hater of Jews. Now Waters has long been very vocal about Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza and is asking for a boycott on Israel. He states he isn’t anti-semitic and that his daughter in law is Jewish. The Star Of David is an associated symbol of Israel and he can’t do anything to change that. It will be interesting to see how this continues to play out.  But now you have more of the story.

Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue has teamed up with BluBlocker Sunglasses and has come out with his own line of sunglasses. You can get them for $50. You can see them here:

Joan Jett And The Blackhearts will be releasing a new record on October 1st called Unvarnished. It will be their first release in about 7 years. One key note is that David Grohl will appear on the album.

Newsted has released another video from his Heavy Metal Music album. This one is called Above All. This is the lyric video. Check it out here:

The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival is offering tickets for $10 and $20 per seat. This show includes Jane’s Addiction and Alice In Chains. Tickets are definitely worth those prices, it’s almost a sin for the dollar amount. You can check out dates here:

In case you care department: Mike Portnoy said he would go back to Dream Theater in a heartbeat but it seems like the band closed the door on that option. Stay tuned for the time he comes back to the band.

Ghost is looking into pulling a KISS like event with unmasking themselves in the near future. Why you ask? Because they can’t hide their identities forever.

This month Purple Pyramid Records will be releasing Tommy Bolin rarities and an unreleased collection. It will be called Tommy Bolin; Whirlwind. A 2 CD digipack. There will be some limited releases in vinyl and other promotions for it. If you like him, you should check your local record store.

AFI has released a new song called 17 Crimes off of their forthcoming new album, Burials, on October 22nd. You can listen to it here:

Remember to turn your dial to 90.3 WRIU FM to hear my radio show, Seth’s Rock Addiction, and you can stream it here:  or get the Tunein app and  stream me on that here:

This week’s Rockucation question is: What band consisted of the following original members: Greg Chaisson, Ray Gillan, Jake E. Lee and Eric Singer?
