Lynch Mob’s New Video

As you know we have been updating you about Lamb Of God’s frontman Randy Blythe’s court drama in Prague. This is where he is accused of pushing a fan off the stage giving him a head injury and eventually led to his death. Blythe did time and took the high road, cooperating throughout the trial. The good news is that he is now acquitted of the manslaughter charge.

Motley Crue apparently will be releasing one more album and a final tour and will call it quits. They swear they won’t do a reunion show after that. It will be over. Not sure I will believe that but we shall see.

Another guitar legend passes away. Alvin Lee of 10 Years After dies at the age of 68. He passed because of medical complications from a routine surgery.

Last weeks Rockucation question was: This guitarist left John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers with the drummer, the bassist and founded another legendary band. This band was formed in 1967 and still exists today. This band had various member changes, including him leaving the band in between 1970-71. The band name was created out of the drummer and bassist last names. Can you name the guitarist and the name of the band he founded? Many of you guessed the right band, which was Fleetwood Mac, but no one had the right guitar player, which was Peter Green. If you never listened to Fleetwood Mac’s early stuff, you should, especially if you like the blues.

Sammy Hagar hooked up with the rest of Montrose this week and recorded new music. Hagar said they still head chemistry and will keep us posted. So stay tuned. Would like to see a tour so I can hear Rock Candy and Bad Motor Scooter, etc live. Though Ronnie Montrose has passed, I believe Hagar and company could get a host of guitarists to fill in on various dates.

The Rolling Stones announce that they will be doing a North American Tour, but haven’t released dates yet. This is a good sign. I would make sure to see them this year because I don’t think you will after this tour. You should definitely make the effort, because it could be the last time.

Andrew Stockdale has released new music under his name as opposed to Wolfmother. He hasn’t said Wolfmother has broken up, but that he has been recording and doing things with different musicians and recording. He is saying it is what it is, this him able to use whomever he wants when he wants too. He feels this what he wants the fans to see him as and not as Wolfmother. According to Stockdale, Wolfmother was always a solo project, Go figure. You can hear the new music here: http://andrewstockdale.com/

This week’s Rockucation question is: Name the song from these lyrics, the band and the album it is from. The lyrics: I’m a man of wealth and taste, I’ve been around for a long, long year, Stole many a man’s soul and faith And I was ’round when Jesus Christ, Had his moment of doubt and pain, Made damn sure that Pilate, Washed his hands and sealed his fate.
