Music News

Guns N’ Roses Guns N’ Roses had a lot of press this week. They announced tour dates and presale info, which you can get here. They have chosen The Cult to open a few select dates, but those haven’t been revealed. The band played a real April Fool’s joke by actually performing at the Troubador in L.A. Many thought they wouldn’t. I was actually surprised to see that they did two songs from Chinese Democracy. Zakk Wylde

Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society/Ozzy) released the official video for his song Sleeping Dogs. It’s from his forthcoming solo album, Book Of Shadows II, out on April 8. You can watch the video here.

Cheap Trick

Cheap Trick, being the class act that they are, is going to perform with Bun E. Carlos during the April 8, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony.

Grateful Dead

Grateful Dead released Part 5 of their nine part home series. You can watch it here.

David Gilmour

David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) released a new video this week called In Any Tongue. It’s from his current album, Rattle That Lock. Watch it here.

Lee Aaron Lee Aaron released Fire & Gasoline this week. The song is the title track from her latest which came out last week. Check out the video here.

Ace Frehley

Ace Frehley (KISS) released his cover of Thin Lizzy’s Emerald, which features Slash and just listen to the solo! Anyway the Origins Vol. 1 comes out April 15. You can listen to the song here.

Royal Blood Royal Blood released a new single this week for the HBO show, Vinyl. The song is called Where Are You Now? It debuts this weekend on the show and is part of the soundtrack for the show. Listen to it here.


Metallica are offering a contest to see them perform on April 16 for Record Day, as they are this year’s ambassadors. You can get all the details here.

In other Metallica news, Lars Ulrich was on Join Or Die With Craig Ferguson. This week’s show which aired last on March 31st was on the most influential band of all time. I won’t spoil it for you. You can watch it here.

Sixx A.M.

Sixx A.M. released a new track this week called You Have Come To The Right Place. It’s from their forthcoming album due out on April 29, titled Prayers For The Damned. Listen to it here.

SRR Quick Hits

Sebastian Bach will be reprising his role on the rebooted Gilmore Girls on Netflix. If you recall, he played Gil in the band, Hep Alien. No word on the airing.

Heavy Montreal released their lineup for the two day event August 6 and 7. You can get the details here.  Motorhead’s final shows in Munich, Germany will be released in CD/DVD/Vinyl formats this coming May. Its title is Clean Your Clock.
