Nick Menza 2016 is turning into quite the year for rockstar passings. Nick Menza of Megadeth fame, died last Saturday at the age of 51. He had a heart attack while he was performing with his band OHM. RIP, Nick!

Rival Sons Rival Sons streamed a new track this week called Tied Up. It’s from their forthcoming album, Hollow Bones. It comes out on June 10. You can listen to it here.


Skillet released a new song this week from their new album due out on August 5th, titled Unleashed. The song is called Feel Invincible. Listen to it here.

Diamond Lane

Diamond Lane released a new song this week, it’s for a future album. The song is called Slipping Away. You can check it out here.


In case you missed it, Megadeth is utilizing Soilwork’s drummer, Dirk Verbeuren.

The Monkees

The Monkees are on a roll. This week they released yet another song off their soon to be released album, Good Times, out on May 27. This one is written by Ben Gibbard, from Death Cab For Cutie. The song is called Me & Magdalena and features Mike Nesmith on vocals. You can listen to the song here.


Soto released a new song off their current album, Divak. The song is called Unblame. You can watch it here.

Hellyeah Hellyeah streamed a new song this week only on Spotify called Startariot. It comes from their album, Unden!able. The album comes out on June 3rd.

Vintage Trouble Vintage Trouble revamped their website. You can check it out here.

Punky Meadows (Angel) released a new song from his first solo album, Fallen Angel (great name by the way). The album is out now. The song is called Straight Shooter. Watch it here.


Volbeat released their new single, Seal The Deal, from their soon to be released album Seal The Deal & Let’s Boogie, out on June 3rd. Check it out here.


Gojira released a new video this week for their song, Silvera. Their new album Magma will be released on June 17. You can watch the video here.

Pop Evil

Pop Evil’s drummer, Josh “Chachi” Marunde, is leaving the band. His last show will be May 24th. No replacement named yet.

Guns And Roses

Guns And Roses announced that Alice In Chains and Lenny Kravitz will be opening for them on this tour.

White Chapel

White Chapel released The Void from their current album, Mark Of The Blade. You can watch it here.


Rumor has it that Aerosmith is considering touring without Steven Tyler. Keep in mind they wouldn’t replace him. Just tour without him. But they haven’t decided yet.

Spraygun War

Spraygun War is a side project by Buckcherry’s frontman Josh Todd and guitarist Stevie D. They released a song called OMG from their soon to be released EP, Into The Blackness, out on June 10. You can check out OMG here.


Slayer will be appearing at the San Diego Comic Con International on July 21.

Bad Marriage

Bad Marriage have been in the studio but have out a new song for us to check out called Old School Stereo. You can check it out here.

ZZ Top And Gov’t Mule

ZZ Top have announced dates with Gov’t Mule. Get them here.


Loverboy released a new song called Hurin’. You can watch it here (no album details). They also announced tour dates, you can get those here.


Axemaster is a band I came across and they have a video for you to check out. The song is for the song is called Sanitys Requiem, It’s from their recently released album, Overture To Madness. Check out the song here.

Jim Breuer And Brian Johnson

Comedian Jim Breuer and Brian Johnson (AC/DC) released the song Mr. Rock n Roll. It’s from Jim Breuer’s soon to be released album, Songs From The Garage, out later this month. You can listen to it here.

The Temperance Movement

The Temperance Movement released the title track of their new album that comes out July 15. Listen to White Bear here.

Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton released Spiral from his latest album, I Still Do. You can check it out here.


SRR Quick Hits

Ozzy Osbourne (Black Sabbath) and his son Jack will be debuting their show, Ozzy And Jack’s World Tour. It premieres on July 10 on the History Channel.

Dee Snider of Twisted Sister will be opening the Louder Than Words, Rock Power And Politics exhibit at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. It opens on May 19. Get details here.

The feud with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of Kiss and Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx still goes on. But you can look up the details to see what was said. But it happened.
