SRR Quick Hits
I’m not sure how you feel about all the drama that goes on out there, but in case you missed some, I’ll give you some background and you can search it out on your own. Gene Simmons (Kiss) called the death of Prince pathetic because of drugs. Paul Stanley (Kiss) tweeted as soon as the story broke on Blabbermouth that Simmons was clueless and he apologized for him and was embarrassed. Simmons has apologized after his family apparently took him to task. Shannon Tweed Simmons, Gene’s wife, tweeted on Stanley’s that he was wrong to call Simmons out like that and that Simmons wouldn’t do him. On the other side of that Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue/Sixx A.M.) stated that Simmons is no longer his hero and he is heartless and uneducated. That’s where it seems to have ended. No further comments have been made in the Simmons camp. No speculation on what type of damage this has done to the Simmons/Stanley relationship and upcoming KISS tour.
In this vein of drama, there is the on and off again relationship of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, in which I don’t care, but apparently they maye be splitting or getting a divorce, but Sharon still manages the Black Sabbath The End tour and wants Ozzy to do a separate farewell tour. Again, speculation seems to be what happens if they officially split.
Inside Metal has two documentaries coming out in the metal scene from the Los Angeles scene, back in the day. The first DVD comes out on June 10 and the second some time in August. You can watch the trailer here.
