Corners Of Sanctuary- Hyde No More!
My friends and music brothers have done a great job with this video and song. You should see them live if you get the chance. They have been touring relentlessly, look for them in a club near you. If you haven’t listened to them before, then you’re in luck. They just released a greatest hits cd, Declaration Of Metal! It even has some new songs and a bonus song or two. You’ll have to buy it to find out! Order that and learn more about them here.

Last week’s Rockucation question: This Rolling Stones film featured a super group called Dirty Mac and the debut of Tony Iommi playing for a band before Black Sabbath. Name the film, who were the members of Dirty Mac and what band did Tony Iommi play with?
Whot was the film, the members and the band? Answer: The Film is Rock And Roll Circus. Dirty Mac was: John Lennon, rhythm guitar, vocals, Eric Clapton, lead guitar, Mitch Mitchell, drums and Keith Richards, on bass. Tony Iommi played guitar for Jethro Tull.

Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Country Communion, California Breed) has released a new song called Heavy from his solo album, Resonate, out on November 4. This track rocks and has Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chickenfoot) who recorded the song with him. Check it out here.
Opeth Opeth released a new lyric video for their song, The Wilde Flowers. It’s from their soon to be released album, Sorceress, out on September 30. Watch it here.
The Pretty Maids The Pretty Maids have released a new song for their forthcoming album, Kingmaker, out on November 4. The song is Humanize Me. You can listen to it here.
Amon Amarth Amon Amarth have released a new video for the song, Raise Your Horns, from their latest album, Jomsviking. Watch the video and see how many cameos you can spot. Check it out here.
Gojira Gojira released a new video this week for their song, The Shooting Star. It’s from their current album, Magma. You can check it out here.
L.A. Guns L.A. Guns announced that Tracii Guns and Phil Lewis are going to record a new L.A. Guns album. It will be out next year. But it doesn’t sound like a full-on reunion. But let’s be glad that they are doing something. The album will be released next summer, followed by a tour. Phil Lewis would tour with his version and one with Tracii Guns.
RavenEye RavenEye released a new song called Madeline from their debut album Nova, out on September 30. Check it out here.
Dream Theater Dream Theater have released their second webisode on the making of The Astonishing, their current album. You can watch it here. here.
PSA Your PSA this week is that DMC (of Run DMC fame) has teamed up with a metal band to make some new music, they are called Fragile Mortals.
Hammerfall Hammerfall released a new song from their forthcoming album, Built To Last, out on November 4th. Check out the song, Hammer High, here.
Amaranthe Amaranthe have released a new track called That Song. It’s from their forthcoming album, Maximalism, out on October 21. You can check it out here.
Extreme Extreme have released a trailer for their 25th anniversary of Pornograffitti. The CD/DVD is from the Hard Rock Las Vegas’s The Joint. It is called, Pornograffitti Live 25: Metal Meltdown. Originally due out on September 23, it is now going to be October 14. You can watch the trailer here.
Jimi Hendrix Billy Cox (Hendrix’s Band Of Gypsy’s) and producer Eddie Kramer are streaming the live concert footage of the soon to be released CD/Vinyl set. The set is titled, Machine Gun: The Fillmore East First Show 12/31/69, out on September 30. You can watch it via Guitar World’s site here.
Mob Rules Mob Rules have released a new lyric video for their song, Somerled, from their current album, Tales From Beyond. Check it out here.
Ringo Starr Ringo Starr released a new video called Now The Time Has Come, in partnering with the United Nations. It’s for the U.N.’s International Peace Day. You can see it via Entertainment Weekly, here.
Graham Bonnet Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, Alcatrazz) has a new song out from his band. The song is called Into The Night and it’s from his new album The Book, out on November 4th. The video is done in what they call 360 Degrees. This is where you can control how you see the video. Check it out here.
Stryper Stryper have decided to take a hiatus and let each member think and pray about the band going forward.This will take place after their 30th anniversary tour. No time given as to when they will be back or not.

Alter Bridge Alter Bridge is steaming a new song called Poison In Your Veins. It’s from their forthcoming album, The Last Hero, out on October 7. Check it out here.

Graveyard Swedish rockers Graveyard have broken up. They state it’s from normal band issues. The current tour has been canceled as well.

Nine Miles South I came across this band out of Denmark called Nine Miles South. They are bluesy and the singer kind of has a Chris Cornell vibe going on, you can check out their new song (no new album info), Bones here.

David Bowie David Bowie recently released the box set, Who Can I Be Now? (1974-1976). One of the albums from it is being streamed now. The album, The Gouster (which was never released), is available. You can check it out via radio.com here.
AC/DC Something to ponder… Now that bassist Cliff Williams has retired, Will AC/DC audition for a new bass player? Or perhaps use guest bassists? Will they record with and utilize Axl Rose? What’s next for them? Do they call it quits?
