Richie Sambora has backed out of the current Bon Jovi tour due to personal reasons. Some say he was told to leave the band but nothing has been confirmed. The band brought back Theofilios “Phil X” Xenidis who filled in for him the last time Richie was out of the band.

Last week’s Rockucation question was: Before he formed MSG, what two bands was Michael Schenker in? The answer comes from to us from Duane Shepard of Warwick, RI. The answer is: The Scorpions and UFO.

Lou Gramm, the original singer for Foreigner is releasing his autobiography on May 1st called: Juke Box Hero; My Five Decades In Rock And Roll.

Phil Ramone passed away this past weekend. He was 79 years old. He was a famous record producer. He worked with artists such as Billy Joel and Paul Simon. No word yet on the cause of death.

The Rolling Stones have announced the 50 And Counting tour. You can get dates here: http://www.rollingstones.com/ Also noted is that at each concert they will release 1000 tickets that will be under $100 (fees included). The nice thing is it will be a mix of excellent and other arena seats. I am hoping I can score a ticket and see them; this will be a great show. I would also bet that you will see other stars come join them on stage throughout the tour. It may be the last time you get to see the Stones…

Motley Crue have announced a second Residency in Las Vegas. They will be back at the Joint, in the Hard Rock Hotel And Casino. They will be playing September 18 through October 6th.
