Music News For The Week of December 28, 2014!

I came across this band (Blowsight) via Twitter and I thought you would like them. They are from Sweden and they have a pretty cool sound. Listen to the song all the way through, it’s a bit different than what I usually post, but I found the more I played it, the more I liked it. They have an album out now called Life And Death. Let me know what you think. You can learn more about them here:

AC/DC apparently is rumored to be playing the Grammys on February 8th, on CBS at 8 p.m.

Journey have announced dates with Santana. You can get them here:

Michael Schenker will be releasing a new album in March called Spirit Of A Mission.

Guitar World magazine is streaming a never before heard song by Dimebag Darrell called Whiskey Road. You can hear it here:

Here is a PSA for you, Accept lost two members this week. If you choose to know who they are, good for you.

I have been on a blues based rock kick lately and to my surprise I came across this band from California. They are called Wicked Tongues. You should defintely hear them, they will be a force to be reckoned with:!emotional/c1t44

Rob Zombie will be releasing a new live album later this year called Spookshow International Live.

Blackberry Smoke released a new song that I missed somehow. But here it is, it’s called Living In A Song. It’s from their soon to be released album, Holding All The Roses out February 10th. Listen to it here:

Kid Rock stated that Foreigner will be the opening act for his First Kiss tour. Dates haven’t been released yet.

I came across this site that lets you seek out stuff on rock artists and bands that you can buy and sell, etc. I thought I would share, it may be a good way for you to find stuff on your favorite artist or group that you may not have. Enjoy it here:

Vans Warped Tour has announced several bands for their tour. You can check them out here:

German band, Kissin’ Dynamite, have released a new video for their song, Runnin’ Free, and it’s off their current album, Megalomania. You can watch it here and check out some of their other stuff. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

If you plan on seeing Saxon on their UK tour, you will see them without drummer Nigel Glockler. He will be at the shows, but as a bystander, since he is recovering from Barin Surgery. Sven Dirkschneider, yes Udo’s son, will be filling in.

If you are looking for something from up north, then you are in luck. Canada’s Aviator Shades are refreshing to listen to and I think they are worth checking out. Of course you can do that here:

Last week’s Rockucation question was:  This band is the first heavy metal band to have a number one album and a top five hit in the same week. It was their first album in America, since their first two were released in Japan. Who is the band and the album? The answer comes to us from Andy Khatchatrian, from Los Angeles, CA. The band was Quiet Riot, the album was Metal Health.

The Music Vault is a great place to check out live footage. This week they added some Grateful Dead shows. But you can find many others. It’s worth checking out:
