Music News For The Week Of December 6, 2015!


Bob Dylan released a video from his current box set, The Bootleg Series Vol. 12: The Cutting Edge 1965-1966. Check out Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues here

Anthrax will be releasing a deck of cards for their album, For All Kings. The catch is that it will only be released in independent record stores. The custom cards will be out on January 16. When you buy them, there will be a downloadable card that will have two songs on it. You can get those before the release date of the album, which is February 26.

Monster Energy Carolina Rebellion have announced their lineups for the three day event in May. Get all the details here They also announced their Fort Rock Festival lineup. Get the info here. They are also part of Rock On The Range and you can get those lineups and details here

AXS TV has a new series out on January 24 called Breaking Band. It will be on at 9:30pm. Its premise is to give potential musicians a chance to achieve their dreams. Some of the mentors for the show are Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), Robin Zander (Cheap Trick) and Sebastian Bach. You can watch the promo clip here

Disturbed released their version of Simon And Garfunkel’s Sounds Of Silence. It’s off their current album, Immortalized. Check it out here

Killswitch Engage released a new video this week. It’s called Strength Of The Mind. It’s from an album that is planned to be released this coming Spring. Watch it here

Sammy Hagar has teamed up with AXS TV for the debut of his show, Rock And Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar. Hagar will be traveling to shows, jamming and interviewing to give you the backstage experience. It debuts on January 24th.

Avantasia released Mystery Of A Blood Red Rose. It’s from their forthcoming album, Ghostlights, out on January 29. You can check it out here

In the rumor department, Steve Perry is supposedly finishing up his solo album. You know, the one he has been working on for the last 20 years.

Prong released a teaser video of their up and coming album, X- No Absolutes. It comes out February 5th. You can listen to it here

Stone Sour released their cover of Motley Crue’s Too Fast For Love. It’s off their current Covers EP. It’s titled Straight Outta Burbank. You can check it out here

Megadeth released their latest off of their soon to be released album, Dystopia. It will be released on January 22. This track is called The Threat Is Real. I like this one. Ricky Warwick of Black Star Riders, released a new video from his up and coming solo albums. He is releasing two at the same time, one electric and one acoustic. The electric is titled, When Patsy Cline Was Crazy (And Guy Mitchell Sang The Blues) and the acoustic, Hearts On Trees. Both being released on February 26. This single is from the electric one. It’s called The Road To Damascus Street. Watch it here

Art Of Dying released a new mini-documentary for their song, Everything, off of their just released album, Rise Up. The video deals with youth homelessness. Watch it here
