Teenage Time Killer, who are they you ask? They are a new supergroup that features David Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters), Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedy’s), Nick Oliveri (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss), Neil Fallon (Clutch), Keith Morris (Black Flag) and Max Cavelera (Soulfly and others). No word on their debut or tour dates.

The band doesn’t really fit in the rock, hard rock, metal category that I usually cover but Devo were pioneers in their day. The band, mostly known for Whip It, lost their guitarist this week. Bob Casale died at the age of 61 due to heart failure. May he rest in peace.

Last week’s Rockucation question was: Who was the first band or performer inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame? Joyce Aubin from Jackson, NJ got this one right. The answer is Chuck Berry. He was the first because they put inductees in alphabetical order when inducted.

3 Doors Down bassist Todd Harrell has been suspended by the band indefinitely because of his latest arrest for a DUI. The band feels he needs to get his life in order.

Nazareth finally have announced a replacement singer for Dan McCafferty who has retired because of some medical issues he has been having. McCcafferty gave the band his blessings for new singer Scot Linton Osbourne. They will release a new album later this year.

Dream Theater will be teaming up with photographer Robert Fenn to put out a hardcover photobook of their North American “Along For The Ride” tour. No release date as of yet. Proceeds from the book will go to F*CK Cancer Foundation and Dying 2 Live.

There is a band out of Minnesota whose claim is that they are “the oldest new band in rock” and if you see them and hear them you would agree. The band is The Oddfathers. They like to say they are the new classic rock and I think if you give them a listen, you may feel the same way.
