Music News For The Week Of February 9, 2014!

Sophie Kahaian (July 1, 1928 to February 10, 2014)
Before I dive into this week’s rock report, I would like to dedicate it to my Mother. her name was Sophie Kahaian. She was 85 years old. She passed on February 10 at 9:45 in the morning. The past few weeks has been very tough for me and my family. I tried to keep things normal on my site and other pages, but it wasn’t easy. I , believe it or not, like to keep things private. My mother and I were very close and I already miss her and know I always will. One of her favorite songs was On Eagles Wings (A Christian song). You can hear it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrLafWZxczI. I can’t express the words on what she meant to me, a role model, a person of solid faith and a true caring and loving parent. It doesn’t seem like it covers everything about her, but I know this, that this place we call earth just lost one of it’s best people and I lost a mother and a friend. She lost the battle to cancer and though I know she is at peace, I’m not so sure I am.
