Music News For The Week Of January 18, 2015!

Billboard magazine has the reissue of Houses Of The Holy, by Led Zeppelin. It comes out February 24. Check it out here:

One of the greatest rock festivals in the United States, Rocklohoma!,   has released dates and line ups. If you can go, you will be in for a real treat. Check out everything here:

Motley Crue announced more dates and yes they will keep Alice Cooper and The Raskins as openers. Doesn’t it seem odd that Alice Cooper, who started before them and is continuing after them, isn’t the one retiring? Hellion have released the title track with a lyric video. The track is Karma’s A Bitch. You can watch it here:

Graham Bonnet has released an unheard album called Graham Bonnet: Private I – The Archives Vol. 1. You can find it on iTunes now.

Dallas W. Taylor, drummer of Crosby, Stills & Nash, and with Young, has died. He also worked with Van Morrison. He passed at the age of 66. RIP!

Last week’s Rockucation question was: Black Magic Woman was a originally a hit for what band and later was covered and a bigger hit for another band. Who were they? David Englund from Warwick, RI,  gave us the answer this week. He was the first one who got both parts right. Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac was the original and Santana made it a huge hit.

Smashing Pumpkins released a new song called Beige Beige, off of their current release, Monuments something something. I don’t really care, but here’s the video:

Ice T, yes that Ice T, has a heavy metal band, called Body Count. Who knew? And I say, who cares? You shouldn’t, the music is, well I’ll be kind, let’s say he should stick to rap and acting. Oh yes, they have a new song out, but you shouldn’t care about that, because I don’t.

Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine) and Serj Tankian (System Of A Down), did a cover of Ozzy’s Crazy Train from the forthcoming Randy Rhoads tribute album out on March 3rd, titled The Ultimate Tribute Randy Rhoads. Speaking of We Are Harlot, the beginning of this band left another band in the dust. The singer of Asking Alexandria’s frontman, Danny Worsnop, has left them to sing for We Are Harlot full time, which was his side project. No replacement singer for Asking Alexandria at the moment.
