Canned Heat will be releasing a CD/DVD set titled Songs From The Road. It celebrates their 50th anniversary tour. It comes out on August 7th.

The Eagles will be receiving the Kennedy Center Honors this December. No official date has been stated.

Last week’s Rockucation question was: This band originally was named the Beans but changed their name for their first record. They are from San Francisco. They were known for wild stage shows featuring actual sex on stage, political satire and picking on the media. Who is that band? The answer comes to us from Chaska, MN. Ghost introduced their new song in a short clip this week. You will know him as Papa Emeritus III. He will be on their next album, Mellora. It will be out August 21.
