I found this news interesting this week. Like we have in the past with Led Zeppelin and others, this week Blabbermouth.net reported that Dangerous Minds pointed out that Paranoid, by Black Sabbath and Half Life- Get Down are remotely similar. As Half Life’s song was recorded just before Black Sabbath recorded their debut album and Paranoid. Half Life released Get Down in June of 1969. Black Sabbath recorded their album in June of 1970. It seems very odd that Tony Iommi would have ripped off this riff, considering how close the timeline is, but one never knows. You be the judge. Here are the two songs and let me know what you think. Half Life, Get Down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wn6iEy7qWnw. Black Sabbath, Paranoid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkXHsK4AQPs
