Primus announced that they will release a new album on October 21st, entitled Primus And The Chocolate Factory. They will follow it up with a tour.

Geoff Tate, who lost the right to keep the name of Queensryche, now has come up with the name of his band and it will be called Operation:Mindcrime.

California Breed have announced tour dates,but Jason Bonham won’t be joining the tour. He is too busy with Sammy Hagar and Friends and rumor has it may be working with Phil Collins. That being said, the band has picked up Queens Of The Stone Age drummer, Joey Castillo. Sounds like there are already issues if the original band can’t get out and tour. Status Quo guitarist Rick Parfitt is in the hospital so all dates of their current tour have been canceled. No details on his illness.

Dick Wagner, a well known guitarist for Alice Cooper and Lou Reed passed away at the age of 71 from respiratory failure. I personally met him at a KISS Convention (he played guitar on Sweet Pain, on KISS’s Destroyer). He was very kind and I enjoyed speaking with him. RIP Dick Wagner!

If you know anyone that has DirectTV, you may want to be at their house for November 9th to watch the Slash, Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators special, Live From The Roxy. This will be taken from series of shows for Guitar Center’s 50th birthday. They will be various shows at all the famous clubs on the strip during the month of September to help launch the new record, World On Fire.
