Trapt released a lyric video for their new song, Passenger. The new album comes out this Fall. It will be titled, DNA. Watch the video here:

In other Def Leppard news, Vivian Campbell’s cancer has returned. He will be on hiatus until he gets better. No replacement announced as of yet.

Led Zeppelin are releasing remastered versions of their last three albums in July, as mentioned here previously. But they released a trailer for the unboxing of Presence. You can watch it here:

Metal Church have released a new recording of their classic Badlands track. It features original singer Mike Howe. You can listen to it here:

Mastodon released another track from their album, Once More Round The Sun. The song is Asleep In The Deep. Check it out here:

Thunder released a new song from their current album, Wonder Days. This song is called Black Water and you can check it out here:

Michael Sweet (Stryper) has produced Benedictum’s Veronica Freeman’s title track of her solo project called The V. The album is Now Or Never, and is out now. The song he wrote and played on, as well as produced, is titled Again.

Last week’s Rockucation question was:  Name the movie that featured, Alice Cooper, Peter Frampton and Aerosmith. The answer comes to us from David Englund of Warwick, RI. The answer is the movie Sgt. Pepper’s Lonley Hearts Club Band.

Symphony X will be releasing their new album, Underworld, on July 24. They also released a lyric video of their song, Without You, which you can watch here:

Iron Maiden will be releasing a double album on September 4th, called The Book Of Souls.

Pop Evil released their fourth installment of the making of their new album, Up, coming out on August 21. Watch it here:

For Black Stone Cherry fans, in case you didn’t know, Chris Robertson sings on the new Montgomery Gentry album, Folks Like Us. He sings on the song, Back On A Dirt Road. He is obviously diving into his country roots, or what we like to call southern rock.

The Devil Wears Prada released a new track called Supernova. The EP called Space will be out on August 21. You can listen to the song here:

The Foo Fighters canceled their European tour because of David Grohl’s falling from the stage and breaking his leg. But he did finish that show in Gothenburg, Sweden, in a cast. But, hey if you want to sign it, well you can do that here:

Random thought. I’m not sure if you like it or not, but I don’t care for it. I hate when I see things like Hagar vs Van Halen, KISS vs Ace and Peter, Bach vs Skid Row and so on. It doesn’t make you like or hate the band more. Nor do I care about political views, and I get that you don’t want a particular candidate to use your song. But isn’t it cool that they thought of your band as a theme song? Just declare you don’t like them, Mr. Neil Young, you know what I mean. Way too much of that crap going on. Just stick to the music.

Neal Schon (Journey) is streaming his new solo album, The Vortex. It comes out June 23rd. But you can listen for free here:

Sort of speaking of Journey, drummer Dean Castronovo was arrested for assault. Journey replaced him for the tour with Omar Hakim (Michael Jackson, Dire Straits, Sting).
