Music News For The Week Of June 7, 2014!

Ghost have announced a North American Tour. They are calling it Black To The Future. You can get dates here:

P.O.D. released a new song this week, This Goes Out To You. They have a new album coming out on August 21. The new record is titled The Awakening. You can listen to the song here:

The Foo Fighters will be doing a second season of Sonic Highways. It’s rumored to be done in England/UK. No dates have been announced.

Motorhead released a new song this week called Thunder & Lightning. It’s from their new album, Black Magic, and that comes out August 28. Listen to it here:

The Devil City Angels announced that their self titled debut will be released September 18th. But the bass player, Eric Brittingham (Cinderella), has decided to leave the band. The band replaced him with Rudy Sarzo (Quiet Riot, Ozzy, and Whitesnake). I am looking forward to the debut.

Neil Young And The Promise Of The Real have released a new song from their new album, The Monsanto Years. This is the song, Wolf Moon, listen to it here:

I’m not a huge fan of him but many of you are so this is sort of PSA, but not. Paste magazine put out a 1977 concert of Tom Waits from the Paradise Club in Boston. If you like, you can check it out here:

I came across this band from Australia. It was in Classic Rock Magazine: Palace Of The King. I think you will enjoy their music. Here is their new song called Another Thing Coming. It’s from their soon to be released album titled, White Bird/Burn The Sky. Check it out here:

Sepultura released a new lyric video, Under My Skin. There’s a special limited edition EP out now. You can watch it here and get the link to purchase it below the video:

Austin Carlile (lead singer),  was hospitalized with undisclosed reasons. He is from Of Mice And Men. They have canceled their tour until he is well.

Led Zeppelin released a new song from their remastered album Coda, coming out in July. This is a unreleased track called Sugar Mama. Listen to it here:

Neal Schon released another track from his solo album. The track is called Lady M. The record is called Vortex and it comes out June 23. Listen to it here:

Last week’s Rockucation question was:  This person founded Band-Aid (the song, Do they Know It’s Christmas?), Live Aid, and Live 8. He also fronted a band in the 1970’s that had a hit with, I Don’t Like Monday’s. Who is he and what band did he front? The answer comes to us by Bryan Kuntz, from Chaska, MN. The answer is Bob Geldof and he fronted the Boomtown Rats.

Slipknot released another track off their recently released album, “.5 The Gray Chapter”. This one is called, Killpop, watch it here:

Lamb Of God have released a new track called 512. It’s from their soon to be released new album, VII:Sturm Und Drang on July 24. Check out the video here:

Kobra And The Lotus will be releasing an EP called, Words Of The Prophets. It’s out on August 28. It will feature 5 covers of Canadian bands.

Virgin Steele put out another song this week. This one is called Queen Of The Dead. It’s from their new album coming out on June 22. The record is titled Nocturnes Of Hellfire & Damnation. Listen to the new song here:
