Please, can we stop with everyone doing cover albums!!! Write originals and cover a track, maybe two, but don’t do a whole album. No one wants to see a live show of all covers by an original band and if you do, then there is something out of tune with you. Yes I said it. No one wants to see a band play all covers or a major set of covers when they have great originals. Please tell me you agree. I can’t stand cover albums by an artist. Just to be clear, I don’t mean a band can’t contribute a song to a tribute album that is different. But do not come out with a complete covers album and give me the whole influences speech and expect me to get excited about it. Get your ass in the studio and write some original music and be done with it. Ok, I am done with my rant. Let’s get back to the report.
