Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst is producing a new TV show about himself. It will be on the CW network and it will be a one hour drama called The Noise, based on his early life. No date yet for its debut.
David Grohl (like he doesn’t have enough going on) is in a new fictional super group that features Jack Black and Val Kilmer called Sweetriver And The Huckleberry Dogs. It is for a web series called Ghost Ghirls and they have recorded a couple of tunes that you can find on iTunes. It’s about a 70’s southern rock band that dies in a plane crash and comes back to haunt a studio. As stated earlier here in previous posts, Steven Tyler is still into branding Steven Tyler. That being said, he is planning on releasing a solo album in the first quarter of 2014. He does claim it will be different than the stuff he does with Aerosmith. I would think it would. I would expect to see lots of guests from various styles of music. Not sure if it will be good or not but based on the last Aerosmith album I am fearful that it won’t be.
Europe will be releasing Live At Sweden Rock 30th Anniversary Show on November 5th. It will be in a 2CD, DVD, Blu-Ray or Digital format.
U2 will be releasing a new song for Black Friday called Ordinary Love. It will be a limited edition. But in case you aren’t able to get a copy you can wait for the soundtrack for the new Mandela movie called Mandela: The Long Walk To Freedom.
Billy Joel will be doing a solo show at Barclays Center in Brooklyn for New Year’s Eve. You can get tickets at Ticketmaster or the Barclays Center, Tickets go on sale November 9th at 10 a.m.
Elton John and Jack White will collaborate on a 6 episode series about the Blues which will be produced by Robert Redford and feature T-Bone Burnett. No release date yet.

If you ever liked KISS at one point of your music journey, you will appreciate that on the KISS Cruise, the band plays to their hard-core fans. In most cases the so-called rare songs are songs that they haven’t played in quite a few tours. But this time they did songs like Almost Human. The Who will bid farewell in 2015, but not really? Yes, they will do their last official tour in 2015 but after that they will look to do some dates in locations for weeks at a time.
