New Rolling Stones Song
So what do you all think of the new site? Pretty Awesome, Right! A lot of thought and effort has gone into what you see here. There are some parts still in process to make this the best news and rock site on the net. There will also be new things added to the site going forward. I want to give a shout out to my friend Dave Englund at englundstudio.com If it weren’t for him, this website wouldn’t have happened. Check out his site and tell him I sent you. I now have a twitter account and a Facebook page for this site. Now you can follow me and get the news as I get it.
Velvet Revolver have not broken up but are on hiatus. But they aren’t auditioning for a new singer. Most of the band is in some type of solo project. It would be safe to say it will be a long time before they do anything.
Jimmy Page pretty much stated that there would be no Led Zeppelin reunion. For those of us who care and never saw them are very disappointed. I am very saddened by this news. You should be, too. That’s all I can say about that. By the way I will be checking out the Celebration Day movie on October 17. I will be in Providence, Rhode Island if you want to see me there at the second show.
Helloween will be releasing their new record on January 18, 2013. It is called Straight Out Of Hell.
Jake E. Lee has come out of hiding. He has been recording a new album. He will feature many guests on it from legendary rock stars to new metal. The word on the street is that he is looking for a singer; one to record one track for this record and then to tour with him in 2013. If this format sounds familiar, you can credit Slash for starting the trend on his record, Slash.
Daughtry and 3 Doors Down will be teaming up for a North American Co-Headlining tour. P.O.D. will be the supporting act. You can check out dates here: http://www.rockntickets.com/ResultsGeneral.aspx?stype=0&kwds=Daughtry
Peter Frampton will be releasing on November 13. A three CD set called The Best Of FCA! 35 Tour. He will also release a 2 DVD set called FCA! 35 Tour: An Evening With Peter Frampton. He should of just released it as a special box set, but I guess this way he finds out what sells better.
Eric Clapton is revisiting Slowhand for its 35th Anniversary. It will be a multi-format release. At this time no release date or other details.
The members of the current Thin Lizzy line up are not going to release the album they made under the Thin Lizzy name, out of respect to Phil Lynott. They will release it under a different band name. No name released as of yet.
Here is a strange match up for a song: The Foo Fighters have teamed up with Rick Springfield and recorded a song. The song is called: The Man Who Never Was. It was done for a documentary being made by Grohl. Let the wise cracks begin.
This week I met Peter Criss and he mentioned that his book is coming out on October 23. The book, if you are wondering, is called: Peter Criss, Make Up To Break Up, My Life In And Out Of KISS. He also told me that he is working on a children’s book, a movie script and will soon have a new album out. If you’re lucky you can catch him on his book signing tour.
