Enuff Z’nuff is releasing a covers album, I hate these things. It is called Covered In Gold and will be released on August 19.

Wovenwar, a band mostly made up of As I Lay Dying members, released a new song off their self titled debut out now. Here is their new single video, All Rise. I actually like this one. Watch it here:

Soundgarden will be performing during the opening game for the Seattle Seahawks, which kicks off the NFL season against the Green Bay Packers on September 4th.

Foo Fighters released an 8 second clip from their new album. No release date yet. If you can’t make out what Grohl is saying, he is saying All Rise, play it here:

Darkest Hour have released a new video from their new self titled album out now. This is called The Misery We Make, you can watch it here:

John Mellencamp will be releasing a new album this Fall, it is called Plain Spoken.

Stevie Nicks released a new lyric video from her new album, 24 Karat Gold. It’s out on the October 9th. The song is The Dealer and you can watch it here

Last week’s Rockucation question was: Who was the original singer for Iron Maiden? Many of you guessed Paul Di’ Anno. He was the first singer to record with them. But the original singer was Paul Day. He was fired because of a lack of charisma.

Ace Frehley commented that he will be releasing a covers album next year and you know how much I love those. Anyway, it will feature Slash, Lita Ford, Mike McCready and many more.  His new album, Space Invader will be out August 19 and he will be on the Tonight Show, sitting in with the Roots (house band)  band all night on Tuesday August 12.

The Grateful Dead are releasing 8 previously unreleased shows next month. Spring 1990 (The Other One) is a companion to their Spring 1990 box set. It also contains the Nassau Coliseum show with Branford Marsalis and it is to be a 23 disc box set.

Eric Clapton is releasing a tour documentary. It will be called Planes, Trains And Eric on DVD. It comes out November 4th.
