They basically were an opening act for most of the metal and hard rock acts of the time. They did release a single and a video for their new album called Blown Away. The band The National are curating a tribute album to the Grateful Dead with a bunch of other bands out of the norm like Vampire Weekend and Ben Iver. It will be released sometime in 2014.

The Who will be releasing a Super Deluxe version of Tommy on November 11th. It will feature 20 unreleased demos and a full live performance of Tommy.

Dan McCafferty , vocalist of Nazareth, has announced his retirement. In recent shows he has collapsed on stage. He is being treated for lung disease. I guess this will be the end of Nazareth, or maybe just the end of touring. We wish him the best in his recovery.
