Pink Floyd Releases Alternative Version Of “Have A Cigar”!

Pink Floyd has launched a new music series called “‘Syd, Roger, Richard, Nick and David – An Evolving Pink Floyd Playlist’”. You can check it out here. Every Friday, the playlist will feature rare tracks (via streaming or download) originally available on the Immersion boxsets. This past Friday they gave us an alternate version of Have A Cigar.

The song first appeared on their 1975 album “Wish You Were Here”. The song is two minutes longer than the original. The song is much more bass oriented and the vocals are more distorted than the original. The track also features Davd Gilmour and Roger Waters singing as opposed to original singer Roy Harper. I’ll just say I prefer the original and wish maybe it was as long as this one. The vide is the cover of the original album where you can see the record spinning as it plays the song.
