Pink Floyd Releases Another Rarity With “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun”!
Pink Floyd has released another rare and classic song from their recently released box set “Pink Floyd: The Early Years 1965–1972” This time it’s Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun. It was originally on their 1967 album “A Saucerful of Secrets”. This version was in the BBC documentary All My Loving, which aired in March 1968. I admit up front that I am not really a fan psychedelic music. But in this case I love the drumming of Nick Mason. Listening to all this early stuff as of late, I believe him to be a very underrated drummer. In any case, not only is the music psychedelic so is the performance. So if you’re into that then you have a great few minutes ahead of you. This clip also features David Gilmour on the guitar as the band just parted ways with Syd Barrett. Check it out below.
