Pop Evil’s New Video


Fleetwood Mac will be releasing a new EP. If you have seen them on the tour so far, you heard one of the tracks already, called Sad Angel. No release date or title for the EP. The only thing stated was they will have it out in a few days.

Machine Head is still holding auditions for their open bassist slot. You need to upload yourself playing some songs on YouTube and send it to the band. Deadline is April 19. Also you need to be able to sing. If you just play you will not be considered. Good luck!

On May 15, you can hear Black Sabbath’s new song, The End Is Just The Beginning, on the season finale of CSI. Who knew that TV would be the go-to place to hear new songs? Some things are funky when you have to watch a TV series in order to hear a band break a new song. Just goes to show you that any media forum is acceptable to get your music out. For those of us who loved the School Of Rock movie starring Jack Black, will soon see it as a musical. Andrew Lloyd Weber has purchased the rights to make it a musical. He will add some songs as well as utilize what was in the movie. Let’s hope he keeps it in the same vein as the movie. We don’t want another Rock Of Ages.

Andy Johns, producer and engineer, died this week at the age of 61. No cause of death has been released. He had worked with Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones Van Halen and Jimi Hendrix.

Steven Tyler is hoping to do a co-headline tour with AC/DC. They would open for AC/DC. It maybe something to watch for but it doesn’t seem like AC/DC’s style. But one never knows.

Gene Simmons is going to be back on television. This time in a comedy series called Busted. It is along the lines of Punk’d. The main theme is to play pranks on artists and their crew backstage on tour. No date or what channel it will air on as of yet.

The Eagles have announced that co-founder Bernie Leadon could rejoin the Eagles for the up and coming tour. He would only play material of which he was involved in.

Deftones Bassist Chi Cheng died at age 42. He was semi comatose after a car accident in 2008.

John Lawton reunited with Uriah Heep. He is replacing Bernie Shaw who will be out for medical reasons through the month of May. The fans will get a treat since they will redo their setlist to include songs from the Lawton era of the band.
