Rival Sons Release New Video
I absolutely love this band and can’t get enough of them. This is Rival Sons new single and video; “Until The Son Comes” off their new record Head Down.
As much as I enjoyed seeing Led Zeppelin on Letterman, I thought Letterman was terrible and unknowledgeable about the band. Your drummer died in 1980? Really, you couldn’t say John Bonham? Someone must have clued him in because he got it right later. He had no idea how to treat the Mighty Zep!
Don’t expect to see Christine McVie in Fleetwood Mac on their up and coming tour. She is done. On another note, the band has recorded two new songs and on is working on a possible album. But you can get tour dates here: http://www.fleetwoodmac.com/
Stone Sour has announced their North American tour, you can find dates here: http://www.stonesour.com/tourdates
For those of you who use Spotify, Metallica has released their whole catalog on it.
Buckcherry announced they are opening for Kid Rock this tour. See last week’s post for details on dates.
You might want to checkout a new website called Heavy Metal Television to see videos of those you know and those you don’t: http://www.heavymetaltelevision.com
Alice in Chains has completed the recording of their new album. No release date or title yet.
Rod Stewart and Steve Winwood announced the “Live The Life Tour.” You can get dates here: http://www.rodstewart.com/2012/12/04/rod-stewart-announces-live-the-life-north-american-tour-with-steve-winwood/
Last week’s Rockucation was: Aerosmith wasn’t always the original line up. Joe Perry and Brad Whitford left. Name who replaced them and what record they made. Unfortunately no one got it right this week. The answer is: Jimmy Crespo replaced Joe Perry, Rick Dufay replaced Brad Whitford and they recorded the Rock In A Hard Place record, which was pretty good.
There will be a documentary released on The Eagles in 2013. Tentative title is “The History Of The Eagles Part 1.
Deep Purple have recorded 13 tracks for a new album. They have released track names but not an album name. It is planned for an April 2013 release. One of the songs Above And Beyond is a song about now deceased keyboardist Jon Lord.
This week’s Rockucation question is: What band did Mookie Blaylock become? Aerosmith may have recorded their last record. Joe Perry doesn’t seem to think they will do another one. I would advise that you catch them on this tour if you can because it will probably be the last, with the exception of special one off shows, like anniversaries, etc.
In case you missed it, Eddie Vedder has his own radio show on SiriusXM. It’s on channel 22 and will be a limited run. I think it’s Wednesdays at 5 pm Eastern.
