K.K. Downing & Hostile

K.K. Downing (Judas Priest) has produced Hostile’s new album, New World Disorder (out now). He makes a cameo in their latest video, Freedom Act. You can check it out here.

Blackberry Smoke

Blackberry Smoke announced U.K. Tour dates, you can get them <ahref=””>here.

Hardline Hardline released a ballad this week. The song is called Take You Home. It’s from their current album, Human Nature. Check it out here.

ZZ Top ZZ Top released another performance video from their current release, Greatest Hits Live. This one features Jeff Beck. The song is Sixteen Tons, check it out here.

Mark Knopfler Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) released Comfort this week from his soundtrack to the film, Comfort And Joy, out in 1984. You can check it out here.

Rush Rush have announced that they will release a 40th anniversary documentary. It will be called Time Stand Still. The film will be released November 3 in select cinemas. The DVD will be released on November 18. You can watch the trailer here.

Quiet Riot Quiet Riot announced a new singer this week: Seann Nicols, formerly of Adler’s Appetite.

The Art Of Anarchy The Art Of Anarchy featuring Scott Stapp (Creed), alongside Disturbed’s John Moyer, and Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, released a video for their song called Madness. No word on when an album will be out. Check it out here.

Graham Bonnet Band Graham Bonnet (Rainbow, MSG, Alcatrazz) released another song from his new Graham Bonnet Band. This one is called Dead Man Walking. The Book, the new album, will be released November 4. Check out the track here.

SRR Non Music News Quick Hits

The Ramones will have a street named after them in Queens, NY. They all went to Forest Hills High School and the street that it’s on will now be called Ramones Way. Ceremonies are on October 23.

Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan is debuting his first film as a director. The movie is called Officer Downe. It comes out November 18. You can watch the trailer here.
