Sammy Hagar & The Circle Release “Devil Came to Philly”!
Sammy Hagar & The Circle just released their debut album “Space Between”. Devil Came to Philly is the latest single from the band. This one is rather unique in the sense there is no Vic Johnson guitar solo. I was kind of surprised by that. But I do think this is an excellent song. Just hearing Hagar’s stand alone voice is just pure bass. He is as good as he ever was. The slow groove that Hagar also sings over just makes the lyrics that much better. The real miss here is that the song doesn’t even go 3 minutes, it comes in at 2.34. You seem to really get into it and then it’s over, but I think it’s great.
