Serj Tankian Teams Up With Composer Bear McCreary For A Cover Of “Godzilla”!

Serj Tankian (System Of A Down) has partnered with Bear McCreary (Film Composer) has made a cover of Blue Oyster Cult’s Godzilla. It’s for the movie “Godzilla” King Of The Monsters”. The film comes out on May 31st. You purchase the single here. First off, how cool is it that the song actually makes it in a Godzilla movie? That aside, it’s not as good as the original but good nonetheless. I like what they did with it, they made it their own. I am also pleased that this will generate some interest in Blue Oyster Cult. A band that is very underrated. I will say the chanting chorus is fantastic. The drums are very well done. Overall a good remake. I am disappointed that there isn’t a video.
